Compliance Life: Other Duties as Assigned

"It seems compliance usually picks up the slack in almost every department."

Compliance folks are the best. Always around, always dependable. They're used to ridiculous requests and are normally working on "priority #1" jobs, even if the coaches claim that all of their requests are priority #1.

Compliance folks are also great problem solvers. They think logically and can usually foresee the problems before they become problems.

So, combine these traits - dependability, availability and problem solving - and what do you get? Excellent people to call in when you need help.

And so, while it may be slightly maddening that the entire department likes to call you for help, Compliance would be well-served to accept this as a complement. Or maybe Compliance ought to embrace their roles as Chief Problem Solvers for the department... the ultimate Other Duty as Assigned.
