Director of Tables & Chairs

So, my first full-time out of college at a big-time Big East school. Told all my buddies back home, they thought it was so cool. Mom and Dad were so proud. Two undergrad degrees and about to earn my Master's.

And what did I spend those first few months doing? Moving tables and chairs.

This event, that event. 300 people for a breakfast thing. 30 chairs for a meeting. Podium in, podium out. Big rectangles, small circles. I was a master.

The even declared me, "Director of Tables & Chairs."

Now eventually I moved up the ladder. There was a student worker who took over some Tables and some Chairs. I had earned my first promotion!
